Classics major Greta Lunder has been accepted to dig in the Agora excavation this summer

Greta Lunder on her summer plans, "This summer I will be spending eight weeks volunteering at the Agora Excavation in Athens, Greece. The Agora is the ancient city center of Athens, and has been excavated by the American School of Classical Studies since 1931. I will learn about all aspects of the excavation, including working with a pick, shovel, and wheelbarrow, cleaning artifacts in the ground, investigating stratigraphy, sifting and flotation, and basic conservation methods. This hands-on experience will be invaluable to me as I continue my studies in Classical Archaeology."
