Undergraduates Isabelle Carrillo and Sophie Pong were awarded the Department's Summer Research Travel Award.

The Department granted two summer study abroad fellowships to Classics majors to attend on-site programs pertaining to the study of ancient Mediterranean cultures. Carillo was accepted to the Roman Villa and Settlement Excavation Field School project in Transylvania, Romania and Pong was accepted to the Poggio Civitate Field School in Siena, Italy.
